Shanghai, China—Water artist Wang Xieda recently used his skills to highlight the rapid disappearance of rhinos, elephants and tigers to Shanghai residents in a “Vanishing Treasures” event that attracted widespread media attention.
Wang Xieda “painted” the various animals in water on a Shanghai pavement. And thanks to the warm autumn temperatures, his artwork literally evaporated in front of passers-by’s eyes, symbolising the loss of iconic wildlife.
