Applying Behavioural Insights using the EAST Framework

What you will learn:
This session will provide an introduction to behavioural insights and the work of the Behavioural Insights Team (BIT). In particular, we will look at how behavioural science can be applied to address challenges, using BIT's "EAST" framework. EAST is four simple principles to encourage behaviour and it stands for Easy, Attractive, Social and Timely.
About the presenter:
Lewis Carmody is a Associate Advisor at The Behavioural Insights Team.
Lewis has worked at BIT for 2 years. In this time, he has worked on applying behavioural insights to a range of policy issues, from reducing mobile phone theft in London to improving access to government services for some of the poorest citizens in Bangladesh.
Lewis’ background is in biology with a specialism in evolutionary biology. Lewis undertook conservation work in South Africa prior to joining BIT and has a personal interest in how behavioural science can be used to tackle some of the problems associated with wildlife crime and conservation.
