Professor Sameer Deshpande

 

Prof Deshpande talks about why many behaviour change strategies to address important social problems fail to influence behaviour and deliver positive outcomes. Specifically, he makes a special case on how to utilize the social marketing framework and presents seven tips to design and implement effective behaviour change strategies.

 

Prof. Deshpande, is Associate Professor of Marketing in the Faculty of Management at the University of Lethbridge, Canada and currently serving as Visiting Associate Professor in the Department of Communications and New Media at the National University of Singapore and he conducts research in social marketing; he has published several academic articles proposing the effectiveness of social marketing interventions on behaviour change and is the co-author of Social Marketing in India and co-edits Social Marketing Quarterly.
